This is where real and lasting change happens.
Everything we see in the physical exist only because it first existed spiritually. The spiritual realm is more real than the physical. So if you must truly change, there must, first of all, be a change spiritually.
No physical effort can produce a lasting change if the change is not first enacted spiritually.
The principles we teach are meant to enact physical changes as a build up to the change that has happened spiritually.
But you can be changed…
A ‘fresh start’ only exist in Jesus. I wish there were some ‘fresher’ ways to change, but if you want something that really works, it is found only in Christ.
The key to finding this new life in Christ is simple:
“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved” Acts 16:31
i. Believe He is the Son of God (1John 5:5)
ii. Believe He died for your sins and rose again (Romans 10:9)
iii. Believe He is your Saviour (1 John 5:1)
iv. Accept His Lordship over your life (Romans 10:9)
Then, confess your beliefs (Romans 10:9-10, 1 John 4:15)
All these steps would be taken when you say this simple prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You are the Son of God, You died for my sins and rose again. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus name. Amen.
You are now a new person (as simple as it sounds).
You have now being brought into the pedestal for real and lasting change.
But you must superimpose the reality of the new person you have become over what you have been used to, and that can only happen through the Word of God (the Bible).
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
By subjecting your mind to the principles and power of the Word of God, you will become a totally transformed person.
Congratulations!
